Registered Osteopath

I graduated from the Osteopathic College of New Zealand in 1995.

I have been married since 1993, and am the father of two boys now in adult hood. As a parent I am very aware of the importance of family health, and the relevance of Osteopathy to all aspects of family life from infants to the elderly.

 I have held position on the Osteopathic Advisory Committee and with the International Society of Osteopathic Practitioners, of which I have been vice president. I have been a key provider for the New Zealand Academy of Sport & High Performance Sport NZ from 2005 to 2012.

Today, I continue to practice from my clinic, treating patients of all ages and conditions.

Professional Credentials and ACC Coverage

Advanced qualifications in animal osteopathy, pelvic health, and ACC-approved treatment protocols.

Equine and Canine Osteopath Postgraduate Diploma
Equine and Canine Osteopathy is a branch of animal osteopathy which is concerned with treating horses and dogs.

It is a manual therapy complementary to veterinary care that aims to remove tension and restrictions and encourage healing in the animal’s musculoskeletal system.

The result is pain relief, improved movement and performance and injury prevention.
Pelvic Health Credentialed
I have comprehensively studied the physiotherapy approach to pelvic health in New Zealand and have been been credentialed.
I have also completed a post graduate osteopathic certification in pelvic health and internal assessment in the Uk.

As s credentialed Pelvic Health Osteopath, I am able to treat incontinence and pelvic pain in either men or women, as well as other pelvic health conditions. I am a member of the International Continence Society.

Regulatory Body - The Osteopathic Council of New Zealand
The Osteopathic Council of New Zealand (OCNZ) is responsible for regulating and overseeing the osteopathic profession in New Zealand.
Registered member of Osteopaths New Zealand
Osteopaths New Zealand is the professional organization representing registered osteopaths throughout New Zealand.

Different from (OCNZ), Osteopaths New Zealand is the professional association that supports its members.
Registered ACC Provider
Patients whose injury has been caused by an accident can fill out an ACC form with me without seeing their G.P.

Important information regarding treatment on ACC:

An osteopath is only entitled to treat you on an ACC claim as long as they are treating the related injury registered on your claim and your claim is within one year of the date of the injury.

Treatment on ACC will require you to bring the relevant paperwork, as we are only able to claim for ACC treatments once we have your information, otherwise, it is policy to charge the full fee until we have your details.
